Summary

At the first edition of the Industry of Tomorrow Leadership Awards, held during the 6th Automotive Logistics Summit, Deliwell was named StartUp of the Year. The category recognizes people and start-ups bringing real innovation to their field — and for Deliwell, that innovation isn't a longer feature list. It's a transport management system that's the right size for the mid-market and compliance-native from day one. Co-founder Ciprian Roibu accepted the award on behalf of the team.

About Industry of Tomorrow

The Industry of Tomorrow Leadership Awards are organized by Industry Tomorrow and Intermodal & Logistics Magazine, a media platform for professionals and decision-makers across the Southeast European manufacturing and logistics industry. The first edition took place on March 7th, 2024, during the 6th Automotive Logistics Summit, a renowned international conference.

The awards recognize excellence — especially the people who lead successful companies: leaders who inspire, innovate, and create value during a period of profound transformation in the industry. As organizer Mădălina Kerestely, General Manager of Industry Tomorrow and Intermodal & Logistics Magazine, framed it, leadership matters more than ever at a time of transition, and the awards exist to celebrate the people taking business to the next level under the most adverse conditions. industrytomorrow

Winners were selected by an advisory board of experts spanning logistics, real estate, finance, consulting, economics, and business diplomacy. Competition was fierce, and every shortlisted business and individual had strong reason to be proud of the recognition.

An award is a nice moment. The part worth talking about is what it points to.

Most mid-market shippers across CEE and the rest of Europe run serious transport operations on tools that were never built for the job. A planning step lives in one place, allocation in another, and the gaps in between get patched with a spreadsheet. When an e-Transport declaration is due, or an e-CMR has to match an invoice at settlement, that spreadsheet is suddenly load-bearing — and one copy-paste away from a compliance problem.

The enterprise TMS platforms that could close those gaps — project44, Transporeon, CargoWise, SAP TM, Alpega — are overbuilt for a company moving 50 to 5,000 transports a month. Too heavy, too slow to go live, priced for a different league.

That's the gap Deliwell was built to close, and it's what "innovation" actually means here. Romanian and EU regulatory requirements — e-Transport/UIT, e-Factura, e-CMR, GDPR, multi-currency — are handled as part of the workflow, not bolted on afterward. The result is a single source of truth across all five stages of the transport workflow: Planning and forecasting, Selection and allocation, Execution and tracking, Delivery and documents, and Settlement and audit — so the work that used to spill into spreadsheets stays in one place.

"I'm not really a fan of awards, but every now and then it's nice to have industry experts confirm you're on the right track. Thanks, Intermodal & Logistics Magazine!"
Ciprian Roibu, Co-Founder, Deliwell

About Deliwell

Deliwell is a Romanian-built, compliance-native cloud TMS for mid-market European shippers. It's designed for teams running 50 to 5,000 transports a month that need EU and Romanian regulatory requirements — e-Transport/UIT, e-Factura, e-CMR, GDPR, multi-currency — handled natively, without the weight and cost of enterprise platforms built for a different scale.
